Set Up a Class

Teachers need to set up classes in the LMS in order to track student progress.  

Begin by logging into the SimBuild LMS website using your Teacher or Administrator account and opening the Manage Classes page.  Only Teachers and Administrators can set up classes.


To open the Manage Classes page, click the 'Manage Classes' icon next to Current Class on the Teacher Dashboard page. 


To add a class, fill out the info under the 'Add class' tab.  Click 'Save changes.'  Once your class has been added, it's time to enroll students.  

To enroll students in a class, select the class from the 'Active' tab on the Manage Classes page then use the search options in the 'Manage class roster' tab to find the student(s) you want to add to the class.  

Students not yet enrolled in a class will appear under 'Available users.'  Select one or more students from the list of available users, and click the 'Add users' button to add them to the class.  

That's it!  You are now able to track progress of all students enrolled in that class.

Keep in mind that a student must create a user account in order to be enrolled in a class.  If you don't find them in the list of available students, they may not have created a user account.

You can enroll or remove students from an active class at any time.
